Meaning & Inspiration
“Lilim,” which means “shade” or “shelter,” is a Filipino worship song by Victory Worship. The first verse says the singer’s desire is to gaze on the Lord’s beauty, and that His love is the answer and will never fail. This is close to Psalm 27:4, where the psalmist desires to behold the beauty of the Lord.
The chorus says the singer will stay in God’s shelter and worship Him in the secret place, where He can be found. The shelter image recalls Psalm 91:1, which speaks of dwelling in the shelter of the Most High.
The second verse calls His name a protection and support, says His promise does not change, and says the singer will hold to His word. The bridge offers praise and the heart to Him forever. The song is calm and repeated, and its message is trust in God’s constancy.
