Lyrics
Give me a heart to change the world
Let me see miracles be done
Lord I know Your love stands strong, strengthen me
I want the broken lifted high
I dream to reunite young lives
With generations side by side, strengthen me
Always forever to eternity my eyes are locked on You
Help me Lord to reach the lost for You, I trust in
You
Breathe in my heart, breathe in my soul
Give me love to love someone
Show me Your way, show me Your truth
Holy Spirit flow through me
Give me a heart to change the world
Let me see miracles be done
Lord I know Your love stands strong, strengthen me
Always forever to eternity my eyes are locked on You
Help me Lord to reach the lost for You, I trust in
You
Breathe in my heart, breathe in my soul
Give me love to love someone
Show me Your way, show me Your truth
Holy Spirit flow through me
I love You, I need You Lord
I love You, I need You Lord
Breathe in my heart, breathe in my soul
Give me love to love someone
Show me Your way, show me Your truth
Holy Spirit flow through me
Breathe in my heart, breathe in my soul
Give me love to love someone
Show me Your way, show me Your truth
Holy Spirit flow through me

Meaning & Inspiration
Breathe is shaped as a prayer for a life made useful by the Holy Spirit. Its requests move from inward renewal to outward service: a changed heart, strength to help wounded people, unity across generations, and courage to reach those who are lost. The repeated appeal for God to breathe into the heart and soul presents spiritual life as something received rather than self-produced. Love, truth, and direction are all sought from God.
The song also connects devotion with mission. Eyes fixed on God lead toward care for other people, while trust supports the desire to see broken lives lifted. Its language may recall the biblical picture of God giving life by breath and Jesus promising the Spirit as a source of truth and witness. The closing confession of love and need keeps the emphasis on dependence, making the song both a worship prayer and a call to compassionate action.
