Yvonne Perkins

Yvonne Perkins is an American gospel songwriter and independent artist based in Chicago, Illinois. A member of ASCAP, her songwriting work spans gospel, contemporary, and country styles. She has described her music as intended for recording artists, publishers, and those who love to worship.

Perkins has released music under the project name “For His Glory,” including the album For His Glory, as well as the albums New Vision (2008) and Worship Warfare (2009). Her catalog includes songs such as “I Got The Power,” “With Every Breath,” “God, You Can Not Do,” “Victory Dance,” and “I Am.” The song “I Got The Power” was included in an NBC database for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Her writing has earned recognition in several contests. “Where Do They Go” received an Honorable Mention in the 16th Billboard Songwriting Contest in 2009. “We Give You Glory” was a finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest in 2008.
