YB, born Brandon Farris, is a Christian hip-hop artist originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was raised in a single-parent home as one of eight children. His stage name, YB, is an acronym derived from his original moniker "Young Brand." During his college years, he experienced a spiritual transition while attending a Passion conference, which shaped the direction of his music and ministry.
YB is the co-founder of the independent music label Bold Records. His music incorporates Christian themes and messages, often focusing on personal growth, faith, and resilience. He has also been involved in youth ministry and community outreach programs.
His album releases include Salvation (2014), God Still Has Soldiers 2 (2018), Fire & Desire (2019), Provision (2020), and Fire Emoji (2020). He also released the EP Provision II in 2021.
