Worship Central is a British Christian music praise and worship charity and collective that produces music and training resources for churches. Founded in 2006 at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, the organization was established by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon. It now operates from Gas Street Church in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and functions both as a training organization for worship leaders and as a worship band.
The group’s vision is to encounter God, equip worshippers, and empower the local church. In 2011, Worship Central launched the “Worship Central Course,” a seven-session training program designed for worship teams. Notable staff members and associate songwriters associated with the collective have included Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Al Gordon, and Luke Hellebronth. Their music has been released through labels such as Integrity Music and Capitol Records.
Worship Central’s recorded catalog includes live and studio worship albums released between 2009 and 2018: Lifting High (2009), Spirit Break Out (2011), Counting On Your Name (2011), Let It Be Known (2012), Set Apart (2014), Mercy Road (2017), and Stir A Passion (2018).
