Wess Morgan

Wess Morgan (born Joel Wesley Morgan, September 5, 1973) is an American gospel musician and pastor. He was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of pastors Joseph and Yolanda Morgan. Morgan began his music career in 2006 with the release of his debut album, Look at Me Now. He serves as a senior worship leader and associate pastor at Celebration of Life Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

His music often incorporates themes of his personal testimony regarding substance abuse recovery and faith. He founded the Bowtie World Music label and the REPRE Foundation, a nonprofit focused on drug and alcohol recovery. In addition to his music and ministry, Morgan has appeared as an actor in Tyler Perry stage plays, including Laugh to Keep from Crying.

Morgan’s catalog includes the albums Under an Open Heaven, Vol. 1 (2010), Under an Open Heaven, Vol. 2 (2012), and Livin' (2014), as well as singles such as “I Choose to Worship,” “You Paid It All,” “Why Can't We Love?” (2021), and “Churchy” (2025).
