Victory Boyd

Victory Elyse Boyd is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and instrumentalist who works in the Christian music space. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, into a musical family of eleven children. Her father, John Boyd, founded the Boys & Girls Choirs of Detroit, and Victory began singing in that choir at age four.

Before launching her solo career, Boyd was a member of the family vocal-harmony group Infinity’s Song. She gained early public attention through viral videos of her busking at New York City locations, including Central Park. After performing for Jay-Z, she was signed to his label, Roc Nation. Her musical style fuses soul, jazz, folk, and gospel.

Boyd released her EP It’s a New Dawn in 2017 and her album The Broken Instrument in 2018. She contributed songwriting to Kanye West’s gospel album Jesus Is King, earning songwriting credits on the tracks “Closed on Sunday” and “God Is.” For her work on that album, she is a Grammy Award-winning artist. She later released the album Glory Hour in 2023, followed by Glory Hour (Live) in 2024, and Christmas Hymns in 2025. She also released the single “Open Your Eyes.”
