Tonya Baker

Tonya Baker is a gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader from Dayton, Ohio. She began performing at age eleven in church choirs, a foundation that would carry her into a career spanning recording, ministry, and creative leadership. She is the founder and president of the independent label Bakehouse Music Group.

Baker has served as the Worship Volunteer Director and Co-Executive Director of Arts and Music at The Potter’s House in Dallas, Texas. She is also the author of the book Worship Beyond the Song – A Psalmist’s Perspective, reflecting her experience and teaching on the subject of worship.

Her recorded catalog includes the albums Life in Him, Since He Came In, Special Friend, and The Live Encounter, as well as the singles “Keep Pressing” and “Bless Your Name.” She also released the EP Merry Christmas Baby II. Beyond her own projects, she has provided background vocals for artists such as Byron Cage, Percy Bady, and Lisa McClendon, and has written songs recorded by Helen Baylor and Tonéx (B.Slade). Baker has appeared on programs including Bobby Jones Gospel and TBN’s Praise the Lord.
