About Terry MacAlmon
Terry MacAlmon was born on May 12, 1955, in Poughkeepsie, New York, and is an American Christian singer, songwriter, pianist, recording artist, and worship leader. He began playing the piano at age three and served as a church pianist by age eleven. For seventeen years, he held music ministry positions in various churches, including Assemblies of God and independent charismatic congregations.
In 1998, MacAlmon launched a weekly worship gathering in Colorado Springs called “Lunch with the Lord.” He is also the founder of New Glory International, a ministry established in 2010. He has traveled internationally to lead worship at conferences, retreats, and churches. Among his early songwriting contributions, he wrote “I Sing Praises,” which was published by Integrity Music in 1989.
MacAlmon’s recorded catalog includes the songs “Holy Are You Lord,” “How We Need the River,” and “Oh the Glory of Your Presence,” as well as albums such as The Sound of Heaven, Live Worship from the World Prayer Center, For the Bride, and The Refreshing, Vol. 1.
MacAlmon received the GMA UK Lifetime Achievement Award for Exceptional Contribution to worship music in 2010. His album Holy! was nominated for Instrumental Album of the Year at the 39th Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards in 2008.
