Tamesha Pruett-Ray

Tamesha Pruett-Ray is a gospel singer, songwriter, and musician whose music ministry is rooted in her Christian faith. She was born on July 12, 1985, in Brenham, Texas, and began playing the piano at a young age. Over time, she also learned to play the acoustic guitar, developing skills that would support her work in worship leadership.

Pruett-Ray serves as a worship leader and music director at New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church in Brenham, Texas. She has been active in music ministry for over 15 years, leading congregations in worship and directing musical programs at her home church.

In 2017, she released the album Beautiful Savior. The recording includes songs such as “Woke Up This Morning,” “Hold On,” “The Blood,” “Beautiful Savior,” “All Glory and Honor,” “Be Lifted,” and “Lift Him High.” Her music blends original material with gospel praise traditions.

Pruett-Ray is married to Tristan Ray, Sr., and together they have three children. Her life and work continue to center on her ministry in Brenham, where she combines her roles as a worship leader, music director, and family woman.
