Tamela Hairston

Tamela Hairston is a worship leader and gospel singer who serves in ministry with a devotion rooted in her North Carolina upbringing. A native of Winston-Salem, she discovered her singing gift at the age of 15 and began her ministry serving under her father, Bishop Christopher Brinson.

Hairston currently serves as a worship leader at World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham and Raleigh, North Carolina. She is married to Cory Hairston, who serves as a bassist and music director.

Within the gospel music community, Hairston has collaborated with JJ Hairston & Youthful Praise on the song "Lifted Up." She has also been featured on releases including "You Won't Change (Yahweh The Same)" with the Mav City Gospel Choir, "God Is Mighty" with JJ Hairston, and "Lead Me To The Well." Her own catalog includes the single "Bless Your Name, Forever" and the song "He Is," which she co-wrote. In addition to her recorded work, she has ministered as a guest worship leader at churches such as Deeper Fellowship Church.
