Steven Malcolm is a Christian hip-hop recording artist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on January 29, 1991, his music blends rap, pop, and reggae influences, often reflecting his Jamaican heritage. He began his music career after joining the worship team at a hip-hop church called The Edge in Grand Rapids.
Malcolm released his independent debut album, Monsters Ink, in 2014. He later signed with Word Entertainment, a division of Curb Records, becoming the first hip-hop artist on the label’s roster. His self-titled major-label debut, Steven Malcolm, was released in 2017. He has since released additional albums, including The Second City, Tree, and Boats. His singles include “Party in the Hills,” “Fuego,” and “Summertime.”
His album The Second City debuted at Number 11 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart. Throughout his career, Malcolm has received multiple GMA Dove Award nominations. His music has also been featured on platforms such as ESPN and VH1.
