Sheri Easter

Sheri Easter is a Southern gospel artist best known as one half of the husband-and-wife duo Jeff & Sheri Easter. Born Sheri Williamson, she first gained attention as a member of The Lewis Family, a celebrated gospel group, before she and her husband launched their own ministry in music.

Sheri married Jeff Easter in June 1985, and the couple began their career as an independent duo in 1988. Over the years they released a series of albums, including New Tradition (1987), Homefolks (1988), Picture Perfect Love (1989), The Gift (1993), and Thread of Hope (1994), as well as later projects such as Expecting Good Things, Eyes Wide Open, and Smalltown Someone. Jeff & Sheri Easter have also been frequent participants in the Gaither Homecoming video series and tours, bringing their harmonies to a wide audience.

Sheri Easter’s contributions have been recognized with multiple industry honors. She has been voted Singing News Favorite Alto eleven times and Singing News Female Vocalist four times. As part of Jeff & Sheri Easter, she has collected nine GMA Dove Award wins and has received Grammy Award nominations for Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album. In 2021 the duo was named Trio of the Year at the Singing News Fan Awards.

Beyond her music, Sheri Easter is the author of Hear My Heart, a book that shares her personal story, including her battle with breast cancer. Through her singing and writing, she has offered a witness of faith and perseverance that continues to resonate within Southern gospel circles.
