About Shannon O'Hara
Shannon O’Hara is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose musical journey has been shaped by her faith and classically trained vocal background. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston and has performed as a soloist and backup singer in a variety of theatrical and concert settings. Early in her career, she served as a worship leader and was a member of a church sanctuary choir, grounding her artistry in gospel and worship music.
O’Hara gained national attention as a contestant on Season 16 of American Idol, where she advanced to the Top 24. The exposure introduced her to a wider audience and highlighted her blend of pop, R&B, and soul influences. Following the show, she released original music as an independent artist, including the singles “Wake Up” and “Motionless.” Her catalog also includes the songs “The Fire,” “Get You Out,” and a cover of the gospel track “Take Me to the King,” all of which reflect her roots in faith-based music.
With a multi-instrumentalist’s versatility and a foundation in church music, O’Hara continues to develop her voice as a solo artist while drawing from her training and experience in both sacred and secular settings.
