Seventh Day Slumber is an American Christian rock band formed in 1996 in Dallas, Texas. The group was founded by lead vocalist and guitarist Joseph Rojas after a religious conversion that followed a near-fatal drug overdose. The band’s name was drawn from Genesis 2:2, which describes the day God rested after creation. Throughout its history, Seventh Day Slumber has experienced multiple lineup changes, with Rojas remaining as the constant creative anchor.

The band’s musical style spans Christian rock, hard rock, post-grunge, and worship music. Joseph Rojas later founded the Nashville-based label Rockfest Records, to which the band is currently signed. Known for a rigorous touring schedule, Seventh Day Slumber has performed more than two hundred dates each year. The band received a 2009 Dove Award for Spanish Language Album of the Year for Rescátame and has earned two Billboard number-one albums along with eight number-one singles.

Seventh Day Slumber’s discography includes the albums Once Upon a Shattered Life (2005), Finally Awake (2007), Take Everything (2009), Closer to Chaos (2019), Death by Admiration (2022), and Thy Kingdom Come (2026).
