About Ryan Ellis
Ryan Ellis is a California-based singer, songwriter, and worship leader working in the contemporary Christian and worship music space. Before his solo career, he served five years in the U.S. Navy, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan. He also was a founding member of the hip-hop dance team Jabbawockeez. His music blends contemporary worship with pop and R&B influences.
Ellis gained recognition as a songwriter for artists including Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Natalie Grant. In 2018, he co-wrote Tomlin’s “Resurrection Power,” which earned him both a GMA Dove Award nomination and an ASCAP “Most Performed Song” award that same year. He also served as a worship leader for the Isla Vista Worship ministry. He is signed to Provident Label Group.
Ellis’s own catalog includes the song “Heart of the Father,” which reached No. 2 on both the Christian Airplay and Christian AC Airplay charts. His other songs include “All My Praise,” “Better Days,” and “Son of David” with Brandon Lake. He has released several EPs, including “Nite-N-Day,” “Kingdom Glory,” and “Live From the Upper Room II.” He also appears on the Housefires track “I Thank God.”
