About Ricardo Sanchez

Ricardo Sanchez is a Christian worship leader, guitarist, and songwriter who has served in church ministry and released multiple gospel albums. Born Ricardo Ángel Sánchez on October 2, 1967, in Scottsdale, Arizona, he grew up in the Catholic Church and later became a non-denominational Protestant. Over the course of his career, he has served as a worship leader at Free Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia, and Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. He and his wife, Jennette, have three sons.

Sanchez has built a catalog of recorded worship music, including the albums Unmerited (2005), Oh What a God (2011), It’s Not Over (2011), Grand Symphony (2015), and Taste + See (2017). Among his recorded songs are “The Power of One,” “Every Prayer,” and “Moving Forward.” He has also collaborated with artists such as Israel Houghton. In 2010, Sanchez received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Gospel Song for “Every Prayer,” and in 2011 he won a GMA Dove Award for Contemporary Gospel Recorded Song for “The Power of One” (with Israel Houghton).

Beyond his own music, Sanchez has authored the book It’s Not Over: How to Keep Moving Forward When You Feel You’re Losing The Fight. He also mentors other worship leaders through his “Windows 2 Worship” seminars.
