Rhondha Vincent

Rhonda Vincent is a lifelong performer of bluegrass and gospel music, widely known as the “Queen of Bluegrass.” Born Rhonda Lea Vincent on July 13, 1962, in Kirksville, Missouri, she began her musical career as a child performing with her family’s band, the Sally Mountain Show. A multi-instrumentalist proficient in mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and banjo, she leads the bluegrass band Rhonda Vincent & The Rage.

Vincent has been a lifelong member of her family’s gospel band and has consistently blended faith-based music into her career. She recorded the live gospel album Sunday Mornin’ Singin’ at her home church in Greentop, Missouri. Her gospel recordings include songs such as “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” “Satisfied,” “There’s A Record Book,” and “Oh, Lonely Day.”

Her career achievements include a Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2017 and 19 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards. In 2020, she was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Throughout her journey, Vincent has remained committed to the bluegrass and gospel music that shaped her from the beginning.
