ReCapp

ReCapp is a Kenyan urban gospel music group formed on August 2, 2012. The group is composed of four members: Edward Obura, Tedd Askoye, Nelly Tuikong, and Emmanuel Mwongela. The members first met while attending Moi High School Kabarak. The name “ReCapp” is derived from the musical term “recapitulation,” signifying a return to the beginning, which the group interprets as a return to God.

The group’s musical style incorporates rap, singing, spoken word, and instrumentation including guitar and clarinet. They released their debut EP, Proud To Be A Christian, in August 2014. In 2016, they released an album titled AMBITION. Their song catalog also includes tracks such as “Wishes Forever,” “5 Stones” featuring Rigga, “Tonight,” “Never Never,” “Ni Yako,” and “You.”

ReCapp has been noted for their mission-oriented approach to music and ministry. The group was reported to have won a Groove Award, reflecting recognition for their work within the gospel music scene in Kenya.
