Ponder, Sykes & Wright

Ponder, Sykes & Wright is a Southern Gospel trio known for their tight three-part harmony and a country-edged musical style. The group’s members have included David Ponder, Michael Sykes, and Woody Wright. Over the years the trio has been associated with the Gaither Music Group and has appeared on Gaither Homecoming projects.

The trio is a Dove-nominated act, recognized for their contributions to Southern Gospel music. Their song catalog includes “Army of Angels,” “Holding Things Close,” “I’d Go Through It Again,” “He Still Speaks,” “Higher Ground,” and “Jesus Holds Your Hand.” The group also released the compilation album Set List, which gathers some of their recorded work.

With their blend of traditional gospel harmonies and country influences, Ponder, Sykes & Wright have found a place within the larger Gaither music community, earning national recognition through both their recordings and their live appearances.
