Pompi

Pompi, born Chaka Nyathando, is a Zambian gospel musician, entrepreneur, and CEO of Atmosphere Nation, formerly known as Lota House. He began his music career as a secular artist before transitioning to gospel music, developing a style that fuses Afro-soul, R&B, and hip-hop.

Pompi’s early gospel work includes the album Mizu (2012) followed by Broken English (2015). He also released the albums Become and Pole Pole. In 2020, he collaborated with Mag44 on the album Bwana. His song catalog includes “Guide My Way” and the 2025 single “Greater.”

Pompi’s contributions to gospel music have been recognized with several regional awards. In 2011, he won the Best Gospel Artist category at the Born and Bred (BNB) Awards. At the Zambia Music Awards in 2013, he won Best Gospel Male Artist and Best Gospel Male Album. The following year, he was named Southern Africa Artist of the Year at the Groove Awards. Outside of music, Pompi was a Global Shaper under the World Economic Forum and is married to fellow artist Esther Chungu.
