Playdough

Playdough, also known as Krum, is an American hip-hop musician who brings a faith-based message to the underground hip-hop scene. Born Douglas William Krum, Jr. on April 27, 1977, in Toledo, Ohio, and raised in Fritch, Texas, Playdough first gained recognition as a member of the hip-hop groups Ill Harmonics and Deepspace 5. His early work with these collectives helped establish his reputation as a thoughtful lyricist within Christian hip-hop circles.

Playdough released his debut solo album, Lonely Superstar, in 2002, marking the beginning of a solo career that would continue to emphasize his Christian perspective. He followed with the album Don't Drink the Water in 2006, the mixtape Writer Dye in 2010, and the album Hotdoggin' in 2011. His catalog includes songs such as "No Angel," "Soul Brothers," and "Quarter Inchin," which reflect his blend of faith-based themes and underground hip-hop style.

In addition to his work as a recording artist, Playdough has been noted for his production skills, often co-producing under the name Harry Krum. Throughout his career, he has performed in a variety of settings, including churches, clubs, and colleges, maintaining a consistent focus on his Christian worldview within the broader hip-hop landscape.
