About Philippa Hanna
Philippa Hanna is an English singer-songwriter and contemporary Christian artist born on March 28, 1984, in Sheffield, England. She began her music career in 2006, and her songwriting is strongly influenced by the Christian faith she adopted in 2004.
Over much of her career, Hanna has worked as an independent artist, releasing several studio albums and EPs. Her early projects include Watching Me (2007), Taste (2009), and the Out of the Blue EP (2011). She later released Speed of Light (2016) and Stained Glass Stories (2020). In 2020, she signed a recording contract with Integrity Music. Her records have reached the number-one spot on the Official Christian & Gospel Charts, and her album Come Back Fighting peaked at number ten on the Official Country Chart.
Hanna has also toured as a support act for mainstream artists such as Lionel Richie, Little Mix, Leona Lewis, and Wet Wet Wet. She is an author, having published the autobiographical books More (2009) and Following the Breadcrumbs (2013). An advocate for Compassion International, she has engaged in charitable work and has appeared on the BBC programme Songs of Praise.
