About Osinachi Nwachukwu

Osinachi Nwachukwu (1979–2022) was a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, and minister of God. Born on November 12, 1979, she was a twin. She served as a lead singer at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, where her worship ministry became a central part of her life and work. Known for writing and performing songs primarily in the Igbo language, she developed a distinctive voice in contemporary Christian music in Nigeria.

Her career reached a wider audience in 2017 following her feature on the song “Ekwueme,” a collaboration with Prospa Ochimana. The song became a significant moment in her musical journey. She also collaborated with Paul Enenche on “Nara Ekele” and with Emma on “You No Dey Use Me Play.” Her own catalog includes songs such as “Ikem” and “The Cry,” which further demonstrate her songwriting and vocal abilities.

Osinachi was married to Peter Nwachukwu, and together they had four children. She passed away on April 8, 2022, in Abuja, Nigeria. Her contributions to gospel music, especially through her worship-leading role and her Igno-language songs, remain a part of her legacy in the Nigerian Christian community.
