About Omega Khunou
Omega Khunou is a South African gospel singer and songwriter born in 1981 in Rustenburg, North West Province. He was raised in Reagile, Koster, and began singing at age five in his father's Sunday School church. In 2001, he moved to Johannesburg to study music at Funda College in Soweto.
Khunou gained significant recognition after joining the Spirit of Praise project, appearing on volumes such as Spirit of Praise Vol 3, which included his song “Hayo.” Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with fellow gospel artists including Benjamin Dube, Neyi Zimu, and Solly Mahlangu.
He has released multiple live albums, including Worship in Spirit & In Truth with Omega Khunou, Crossover (Retlo E Tshela), and Mo Roriseng. Other recorded songs in his catalog include “Yehla Nkosi / Jesu Unamandla” (Live), “Emmanuel,” “Busa” (Live), and “O Molimo” (Live). Omega Khunou is married to Keatlaretse Grace Khunou.
