Newworldson is a Canadian Christian pop/soul band based in St. Catharines, Ontario. The group was formed in a jazz bar in St. Catharines in 2006. Original members included Joel Parisien (vocals, keyboards), Mark Rogers (drums), Rich Moore (bass), and Josh Toal (guitar). The band’s musical style is described as a fusion of gospel, soul, rock, and North American roots music.

The band is signed to Inpop Records. Their debut album, Roots Revolution, was released in 2005. Newworldson has toured internationally, including in North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. They have also toured as an opening act for the Newsboys.

Their album Salvation Station, released in 2008, reached No. 26 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart and No. 34 on the Top Christian Albums chart. In 2010, the single “There Is a Way” reached No. 2 on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart on March 20. The band also released the albums Newworldson (2010), Rebel Transmission (2012), and the singles “Learning to Be the Light,” “Children, Go Where I Send Thee” (2025), and “Love Rescue Me” (2026).

The band earned nominations for Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the Year at the Juno Awards for three consecutive albums: Roots Revolution (2008), Salvation Station (2009), and Newworldson (2011).
