Michael Bethany

Michael Bethany is a singer, songwriter, producer, and recording artist who serves as a worship leader at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. Based in Fort Worth, he is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. Bethany previously served as part of the Daystar Singers and Band. He is married to Chavon, and together they have two sons.

Bethany released the album Yours Forever in 2016, which debuted at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. His album Overflow reached No. 1 on the iTunes Christian & Gospel chart and earned him two GMA Dove Award nominations. His catalog includes songs such as “High Priest,” “Secret Place,” “Be Magnified,” “Fill The Room” (featuring Jonathan Traylor), “He Is Lord,” and “Set My Eyes.”

Bethany has collaborated with artists including Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, CeCe Winans, and Tamela Mann. He is a two-time recipient of the BMI Christian Song Award, receiving the honor for Fred Hammond’s “They that Wait” and “Here in our Praise.” In addition to his music career, Bethany founded Overflow Culture, an organization dedicated to mentoring worship leaders and creative teams.
