May Angeles

May Angeles is a Christian recording artist, songwriter, and former worship leader whose music blends R&B, neo-soul, jazz, and gospel. A first-generation Filipino-American, she immigrated to the United States in 2001. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music & Worship Arts from Vanguard University of Southern California and went on to serve as a main worship leader at Mariners Church Irvine for three years.

Alongside her worship leadership, Angeles has worked as a full-time missionary, recording artist, and songwriter with the organizations People & Songs and The Emerging Sound. Her debut album, Never Wanna Go Back, was released in 2021. The album features songs including “Come Through” (featuring People & Songs), “Go To Live With God,” “O Mercy” (featuring Wesley Nilsen and People & Songs), and “Hideaway” (featuring Wesley Nilsen, Mary Grace, and People & Songs). Other songs in her catalog include “Throne Room Song” and “Yahweh Holy (Church Version).”

Angeles has been recognized with two awards from the GMA Immerse program: Female Artist/Writer of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year. Her work as a worship leader and recording artist continues to reflect her commitment to gospel and worship music.
