Matty Mullins is a solo Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) artist and the lead vocalist of the metalcore band Memphis May Fire. Born on July 3, 1988, in Spokane, Washington, he was raised in a conservative Christian household as the son of a pastor. He is married to Brittany Mullins and is based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mullins launched a solo career in 2013, focusing on CCM. His self-titled debut album, Matty Mullins, was released in 2014 and reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart, also charting at No. 66 on the Billboard 200. He followed with the album Unstoppable in 2017, whose title track peaked at No. 4 on the Christian AC/CHR chart. His solo singles include “No Hold On Me,” “More of You,” “My Dear,” and “Come Alive.”
In addition to his solo work and role with Memphis May Fire, Mullins has served as a touring lead vocalist for the alternative band Anberlin and appears on their album Vega. His lyrics often address personal experiences, including struggles with anxiety and depression, alongside his Christian faith.
