Marco Barrientos

Marco Barrientos was born on June 28, 1963, in Mexico City, Mexico, and has built a career as a musician, pastor, author, teacher, and speaker. He graduated from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, in 1985 and has been active in full-time ministry and music since that year. Barrientos is known for combining biblical principles with prophetic worship music.

He is the founder and co-pastor of Centro Internacional Aliento in Arlington, Texas, and founded the ministry Amistad Cristiana Internacional, Inc. He also serves as president of the music label Aliento Producciones. His dual work as an evangelical pastor and contemporary Christian worship artist has shaped his extensive catalog.

Barrientos’s discography includes albums such as Este Es El Día de Alabanza (1986), Sé Exaltado (1988), Sin Reservas (1999), Transformados (2010), Ilumina (2012), Amanece (2014), Exaltado (2024), and ALIENTO (2025). His work has received multiple Latin Grammy Award nominations for Best Christian Album (Spanish Language), including for Viento + Fuego, Transformados, Amanece, and Exaltado.
