About Lydia Laird
Lydia Laird is a Christian music artist whose songs fall within the Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) genre and focus on faith, the Gospel, and personal struggles. She was born into a family of ten children and grew up in a Christian home in East Texas. During her youth, she lived in Romania while her family served as missionaries. She began writing songs at age nine.
Laird’s music often addresses personal experiences with mental health, including depression and anxiety. She has stated that her goal as an artist is to invite listeners to be vulnerable with God and find hope in the Gospel. She has also been involved in leading worship.
Her debut self-titled EP, Lydia Laird, was released in 2020. Her catalog includes singles such as “I’ll Be Okay” (2019), “Hallelujah Even Here” (2020), “This I Know (Jesus Loves Me)” (2022), “Meet Me There,” “He is” (2024), and “breath by breath” (2024). In 2024, she released the album The Heavy. The Healing. The Holding.
