Latice Crawford

Latice Crawford is a gospel singer and songwriter known for her three-octave contralto vocal range and her emergence from the gospel competition circuit. She was born Latice Tenae Crawford on July 22, 1982, in Manhattan, New York, and raised in the Bronx in an Apostolic church environment where her father served as an elder. Crawford gained national attention as a third-place finalist on the second season of the BET gospel competition series Sunday Best.

Her debut studio album, Latice Crawford, was released in 2014 through RCA Inspiration and reached the Billboard Top Gospel Albums and Top Heatseekers charts. The album included the single “There.” She followed with the EP Diary of a Church Girl in 2016, which also appeared on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart. Additional singles in her catalog include “Choose Me” (2017) and “The Cure” (2025).

Alongside her music career, Crawford has worked as a certified life coach, integrating music and mental wellness into her professional life. She also appeared on the Centric TV reality series Almost Married (2012) alongside her husband, Jeff Spain.
