Kelechi Ify

Kelechi Ify is a Nigerian-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in the UK who has been in full-time gospel music ministry since 1992. He began his music career as a drummer at age fourteen before teaching himself to play the guitar. Over time, he developed into a multi-instrumentalist proficient on drums, keyboard, bass guitar, and acoustic and rhythm guitar.

His extensive studio work includes contributions as a musician on more than five hundred albums for various artists in Nigeria. He has also ministered alongside well-known gospel figures including Ron Kenoly, Muyiwa Olanrewaju, and Nathaniel Bassey. Kelechi Ify’s music ministry has taken him to perform internationally in nations such as Germany, Italy, Nigeria, and the United Kingdom.

Kelechi Ify has released a number of albums over the years. His recorded catalog includes Global Praise (2007), My Season (2012), You Are (2014), Everlasting Arms (2015), My Portion (2015), Swahili Sifa (2016), and Transcendent (2017). His most recent album, Victory Ahead, was released in 2025. Through decades of service, he has remained active as a worship leader and instrumentalist in the gospel music community.
