About Kathy Troccoli

Kathy Troccoli is a contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and speaker who has ministered through music for over three decades. Born Kathleen Colleen Troccoli on June 24, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York, she was raised in Islip Terrace, Long Island, and graduated from East Islip High School. She studied jazz and opera at Berklee College of Music and also studied voice at Suffolk County Community College.

Troccoli became a devout Christian in 1978 after an invitation to a Baptist church. She launched her music career in 1982 with the debut album Stubborn Love on Reunion Records. Her albums from the 1980s include Heart and Soul (1984) and Images (1986). She continued recording into the 1990s with the album Pure Attraction (1991). Among her well-known songs are “Everything Changes,” “My Life Is in Your Hands” (1994), and “Go Light Your World” (1995). She also collaborated with The Beach Boys on the single “I Can Hear Music” (1996).

In addition to her music, Troccoli has authored several books, including the Falling in Love with Jesus Bible study series. She identifies as a non-denominational Christian and founded A Baby’s Prayer Foundation, a ministry that supports pro-life organizations. Over her career, she has received two GMA Dove Awards and nineteen GMA Dove Award nominations, as well as three Grammy Award nominations.
