Judith Gayle

Judith Gayle is a Jamaican gospel singer, songwriter, minister, and author. Born and raised in Chateau, Clarendon, Jamaica, she began her music career in the 1980s as a cabaret singer performing at hotels across the island. In 1998, she placed as the first runner-up in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Popular Song Competition. The following year, after a religious experience in 1999, she transitioned from secular music to gospel ministry.

She has since released several albums, including Jesus Is Alive, The Sun Shines Again, Broken to be Blessed, Designed to Worship, I Believe, and The Winner in Me. Her song catalog includes titles such as “Give Me Jesus” and “Things Already Betta.” In 2009, she was awarded Best Female Vocalist of the Year at the Mega Gospel Awards.

Alongside her music career, Judith Gayle is an ordained minister. She was ordained in 2014 by Bishop Michael A. Frith and has served as a worship leader at The Temple of Restoration in Brooklyn, New York. She is also a member of the Overcomers Christian International. Beyond music and ministry, she is an author, having published the books Preserving the Soul and Broken to be Blessed; Destined to Win.
