About Joseph Habedank
Joseph Habedank is a Southern Gospel and Christian music singer and songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. He began his professional career at age seventeen, spending ten years as a member of the Southern Gospel group The Perrys before launching his solo ministry.
Habedank has written songs that have been recorded by various artists, including Reba McEntire. His own recorded works include the albums Welcome Home, Resurrection, Deeper Oceans, Change Is Coming, and autobiography. Songs in his catalog include “Shame on Me,” “Goliath,” and “Child of the King.” He has also publicly shared his personal testimony of recovery from prescription drug addiction.
A multi-time GMA Dove Award winner, Habedank received the Dove Award for Southern Gospel Album of the Year for Resurrection and the Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year for autobiography in 2024. He was named Southern Gospel Artist of the Year at the 2020 GMA Dove Awards and was awarded New Soloist of the Year by Singing News Magazine in 2014. He has received multiple Grammy Award nominations and holds the record for the most number-one songs on the Singing News chart as a soloist.
