About Jonathan Stockstill

Jonathan Stockstill is a worship leader, songwriter, and third-generation lead pastor at Bethany Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born in 1981, he succeeded his father, Larry Stockstill, and grandfather, Roy Stockstill, in pastoral leadership, officially becoming the lead pastor of Bethany Church on October 2, 2011. He began leading worship at the church when he was sixteen or seventeen years old and received formal training in classical and jazz piano.

Before stepping into his pastoral role, Stockstill was a member of the band Deluge, which released albums through Integrity Music. He has since recorded over ten albums and written more than one hundred songs. He married his wife, Angie, in 2005.

Stockstill’s album Worth The Wait (Live) debuted at number two on the iTunes charts upon its release. His song catalog includes “Communion Song,” “You Fight My Battles,” “Revelation 4,” “Open Up the Sky,” “You Give Me Joy,” and “Trust You Completely.” He also released the album Let the Church Rise, which features the track “Open Up the Sky.” Through his music and ministry, Stockstill continues to serve the congregation he leads while contributing to the broader Christian worship landscape.
