Jonah Chivasa

Jonah Chivasa is a Zimbabwean gospel singer and songwriter who began singing in church at the age of five. Raised as the son of a pastor, he grew up surrounded by the worship music that would shape his career. He released his debut album, Humambo, in 2016, marking the beginning of his recorded ministry.

His second album, Jeso, arrived in 2018 and featured collaborations with fellow gospel artists Pastor G and Mathias Mhere. The following year, Chivasa gained significant recognition with the hit single “Ndozvinoita Nyasha,” which brought his music to a wider audience. He also scored a notable achievement when his single “Ngavapinde Havo” reached number one on the Star FM Gospel Greats and ZiFM Get Lifted shows.

Chivasa has continued to expand his catalog with songs such as “Fevha” (2021), “Chipostori Chekare” (2024), “My Hero” (2025), and “Komborerai Zimbabwe” (2025). He has collaborated with other Zimbabwean gospel voices including Tatenda Makuni and Kudakwashe Mutsvene, and has performed at gospel events such as the Worship Experience in Zimbabwe. His work remains rooted in the church community where his musical journey began.
