Jokia Music

Jokia Williams is an American gospel musician and singer-songwriter. Born in Compton, California, and raised in Killeen, Texas, she served in the U.S. Army from 2006 to 2010. During her military service, she gave her life to Christ and participated in the 2008 Army Soldier Show. After her time in the Army, she pursued a master’s degree in counseling while building her music career as an independent artist, operating her own label, Jokia Music.

Her musical style blends gospel, contemporary R&B, and Christian rock. She released her debut single “Amen” in 2016, followed by the Not Forgotten EP in 2017. In 2020, her single “Yahweh” reached number one on the Billboard Gospel National Airplay chart and also hit number one on the Billboard Indicator chart. The follow-up single “Let Him In” (2021) peaked at number eighteen on the Billboard Gospel National Airplay chart. Jokia also made her acting debut as a reporter on the TV show “Double Cross.”

In 2024, she released the single “Rise” alongside two albums, Love R&B and Love Gospel. Her catalog continued to grow with the 2026 single “So Happy.” Jokia is married to Benjamin Williams and is a mother. Her journey from military service to independent gospel artistry reflects a commitment to creating faith-based, devotional music that has connected with audiences on national charts.
