About Jillian Edwards
Jillian Edwards is an American singer-songwriter whose music blends indie folk and indie pop. Born Jillian Anita Edwards in Dallas, Texas, she attended Baylor University in Waco, where she began performing at local coffee shops. Her recording career began in 2009 with the self-released EP Galaxies & Such. She later moved to Franklin, Tennessee, where she is based.
Edwards’ 2011 album Headfirst charted on several Billboard charts, reaching No. 187 on the Billboard 200 and No. 6 on the Folk Albums chart. Her 2014 album Daydream also peaked at No. 6 on the Folk Albums chart. Her songs have been featured in television shows, including Grey’s Anatomy, Nashville, and Pretty Little Liars. Over the years, she has continued to release music, with additional projects including the EP All My Christmases (2014), the album Covers (2016), and the EP Meadow (2020). She also released the EP Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled in 2021 and the EP Emotional Rollercoaster in 2024.
Edwards is married to Will Franklin Chapman, a drummer for the band Colony House. She also hosts a podcast titled Ponderwell, through which she shares creative and personal reflections.
