Jermaine D Gordon is a young Jamaican singer-songwriter, musician, author, inspirational speaker and occasional poet and preacher, best known for his anointed music and songs. He has been referred to as “The True Psalmist”. In December 2011, Gordon launched his debut album, ‘Lord I Surrender.’ A new song flows from Gordon’s spirit just as the rain falls to the earth without much effort.
Gordon has been playing music from as early as age four in the island of Jamaica. He has traveled to The United States, Canada and other parts of the Caribbean playing music, speaking, conducting workshops, ministering in Youth Revivals and Camps and leading God’s people into intimate worship.

The Rev. Dr. Jermaine David Gordon was born in 1975 in the rural community of Bull Bay in St. Andrew, Jamaica. His earliest musical experiences started as a child when he sang and played the pots, tambourines, buckets, kegs, pans or whatever he could find to keep a steady rhythm and a pleasant sound.
Rev. Dr Jermaine continued to improve in his musical skills, singing and making melody for others. He played his first official instrument at 9 years old at the Bull Bay New Testament Church. His devotion and commitment to GOD also grew and at age 16 he gave his heart to Lord and was baptised in 1991 at the Church of God of Prophecy in Bull Bay.
He attended Kingston College where he studied business, and later, started working with one of the world’s leading Auditing firms, KPMG. Afterwards, he garnered a wealth of experience in shipping logistics and accounting at the Kingston Container Terminal. He furthered his accounting studies and joined the prestigious Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA). He also completed courses in TV and radio broadcasting techniques, voice & speech, and has garnered a wealth of knowledge in other areas of music such as effective worship leading and practical and theory in classical piano at grade four from the Royal School of Music in London (via The Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts). He has also done extensive work in creativity consultancy and coaching, managing and directing regular choirs as well as mass choirs, sound engineering and other music, sound and broadcasting areas.
In 1994, Jermaine D Gordon got married to Melesha and their union produced two amazing boys: Joshua-David & Raylan. Today, he is an international award-winning Gospel Minister and is fondly called the Passionate Psalmist & a Modern-day Hymn Writer. He is a devout Christian and a musical maestro who has written and composed some of the most recognizable songs of our time. His music can be heard in theatre productions and often in the aisles of the marketplace. His most popular and well-loved song: YOU ARE GOD (HOLY & RIGHTEOUS) has also won him two separate international awards and currently has over three million, five hundred thousand views on YouTube.
His music directing and choral music skills have also led him to assist with music programmes involving Bishop T.D. Jakes, The National Prayer Vigil under the patronage of The Governor General – Sir Patrick Allen, Pastor Benny Hinn, Apostle Dr. Elcock Stewart, Prayer 2000 Jamaica, Lecei Wright, Church of God of Prophecy, The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and a recent mission trip to Southern Texas where he led the Spanish community into heartfelt worship.
The Rev. Dr. Jermaine Gordon is also a music executive, philanthropist, innovator, composer, arranger, and music producer and an international multi-cultural, multi-lingual worship leader. He spends most of his leisure time training and coaching people to sing, and has been a Director of Music and a Creativity Consultant for over twenty years in several churches in Jamaica. He is also the founder and CEO of Colour Your Thoughts Media (A creative publishing house). “His most recent passion: ‘Intimate Prayer’ has led him to create two volumes of the Prayer Journal – POUR OUT IN ME.” Volume three is scheduled to be released in 2018. He is also the recent recipient of two awards in Canada. On September 9, he attended the graduation ceremony of The Canadian International Chaplaincy Association/CICA International University and Seminary and The Word of Life Ministries International/WOLMI in Canada and the USA, where an honorary Doctorate of Divinity (DD) and a Ministers License of the Gospel were bestowed upon him.
Rev. Dr. Jermaine says the bestowing of this honour is a symbol of the rich musical legacy he inherited. He has dedicated this to his family and support team, the many music practitioners in the churches, musicians, singers, dedicated choir members, music producers and leaders who work diligently to present musical excellence to the King of kings.
In 2017, He resigned from his day job as an accountant after 23 years. The world is now awaiting the announcement of the Rev. Dr. Jermaine Gordon’s entrance into full-time ministry, honorary Doctor of Divinity and Ordained Minister of the Gospel.
