Jehovah Shalom Acapella

Jehovah Shalom Acapella is a six-member gospel music group based in Kampala, Uganda, that has been active since 2006. The group’s musical style blends African rhythms with traditional a cappella harmonies, and their repertoire focuses on devotional hymns, praise, and worship music.

The members of Jehovah Shalom Acapella are Amos Wasswa, Asaph Ssembubbu, Elijah Kyagulanyi, Sam Kato, Wasswa James, and Joseph Luyima Tebor. Elijah Kyagulanyi serves as a songwriter and producer for the group.

The group has released several recordings over the years. Their album El-Shaddai reflects their commitment to worship music, and they have also released the live sessions Hymns of the Cross and Hymns of the Lord’s Path Way (Live). Additional releases include the EP Luganda Worship Experience (Live) and the songs “Love Lifted Me,” “I Believe,” and “Katonda Onsembezze (Near My God To Thee).”
