About Jasmine Murray

Jasmine Murray is a contemporary Christian singer and songwriter. She was born on December 12, 1991, in Columbus, Mississippi, and first gained national attention as a finalist on the eighth season of American Idol. She later was crowned Miss Mississippi in 2014 and placed in the top 10 of the Miss America 2015 pageant.

Murray began her professional music career in the Christian contemporary genre after becoming involved with a church worship team. She signed with the Nashville-based label Fair Trade Services. Her early releases include the Jasmine Murray – EP (2017) and the singles "Fearless" (2017) and "For God So Loved" (2017). In 2018, she released the album Fearless and the single "While You Were Holding Me." More recently, she appears on the 2025 single "GOD IS GOOD" featuring John & Jami.

Beyond her music, Murray has been an advocate for mental health, speaking openly about her personal struggles with anxiety and depression. Her work reflects a commitment to faith-based music and a message of hope.
