Jamie Lyn MacDonald is an American contemporary Christian singer-songwriter born in 1984. Originally from Caro, Michigan, she is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. MacDonald began her music career independently in 2014. She previously worked as a songwriter for the International House of Prayer and has provided background vocals for artists including Anne Wilson, Zach Williams, and Danny Gokey.
In November 2024, MacDonald signed with Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG). Her debut studio album, titled Jamie MacDonald, was released on January 23, 2026. That same year, she was named a Spotify “Artist to Watch.”
Several of MacDonald’s singles have found chart success. “Desperate,” released in 2025, reached No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Adult Contemporary Airplay chart. “Left It in the River,” also from 2025, reached No. 1 on the Christian Airplay, Christian Adult Contemporary, and Christian Digital Song Sales charts. Other songs in her catalog include “A Million Chances” (2024), “Who He Is” (2025), “You Can’t Take My Song” (2025), and “Ain’t No Way” (2026).
