James Kilbane

James Kilbane is an Irish singer, songwriter, and music producer whose work blends Christian gospel, country, and Irish folk traditions. He was born on 14 October 1970 in London, England, and spent part of his childhood in Harlesden before his family moved to Achill Island, County Mayo, Ireland. He first gained national attention in 2004 as the runner-up on the television talent show You’re A Star. He operates his own independent label, Gold Eagle Music, and has released numerous albums of faith-based material.

Kilbane’s discography includes Hymns of Praise, Divine Love, Life’s Miracle, Heart to Heart, Glory and Grace, Gravel & Grace: Songs of Faith, Life & Hope, Mary: The Lord’s Servant, and The Songs of Faith Collection. Beyond recording, he has worked as a television presenter and broadcaster, hosting the series Rewind With James Kilbane. He also holds an honours degree in Heritage and Culture.

His contributions to gospel music have been recognized with several honours. He was voted “Irish Gospel Singer of the Year” in 2012 and again in 2019. In March 2024, Hot Country TV named him “Gospel Artist of the Year.”
