Iragi Chihebe

Iragi Chihebe is a Congolese-born gospel artist, songwriter, and vocal coach based in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was born on January 17, 1991, in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, into a pastoral family, and his musical journey began in Sunday school in 1995. Alongside his calling in music, he earned a degree in Computer Science.

He launched his professional musical career in 2018 with the single “You Are Great.” In February 2020, he founded the musical company Genuine Worship Time. Chihebe’s catalog includes singles such as “Mighty and Worthy” (2020), “Almighty God” (2022), “Ngiyakuthanda Jesu (Home Worship)” (2022), “Today Miracle Follow Me” (2023), “U Mwema” (2023), “Thank You Lord” (2023), and “Where Would I Be” (2024).

Chihebe’s work has been recognized with several awards. In 2022 he received the Best of Africa Gospel Artist award at the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards. The following year, “Today Miracle Follow Me” won Best African Song of the Year at the same awards. In 2024 he was named Best African Gospel Artist at the INGOMA11 South Africa awards, and in 2025 he was honored as International Male Artist of the Year at the Gospel Choice Music Awards (GCMA) USA.
