Indelible Grace

Indelible Grace is a Nashville-based artist collective and ministry dedicated to restoring the historic practice of writing new melodies for traditional hymn texts. The project was founded by Kevin Twit, a campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship (RUF), and it originated from the RUF ministry at Belmont University in 1995.

The collective brings together a rotating group of musicians and songwriters. Key artists associated with Indelible Grace include Sandra McCracken, Matthew Smith, Emily Deloach, and Jeremy Casella. Other featured recording artists have included Derek Webb, Andrew Osenga, Matthew Perryman Jones, and Dan Haseltine. As part of its ministry focus, the collective makes sheet music, chords, and lyrics available for free through the Indelible Grace Hymnbook website.

Indelible Grace has released a series of albums pairing historic hymn texts with contemporary musical settings. The first was Indelible Grace (2000), followed by Pilgrim Days: Indelible Grace II (2001), For All the Saints: Indelible Grace III (2003), Beams of Heaven: Indelible Grace IV (2005), and Wake Thy Slumbering Children: Indelible Grace V (2007). A live recording, The Hymn Sing: Live in Nashville, was released in 2010, with Joy Beyond the Sorrow: Indelible Grace VI following in 2012. The most recent release is Rove No More: Indelible Grace VIII (2026).
