About High Valley
High Valley is a Canadian country and bluegrass band originally from La Crete, Alberta. The group was founded by brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel, with Bryan Rempel also serving as a member until 2014. Brad Rempel is the lead singer and primary songwriter. The band members grew up in a Mennonite community and began their musical journey singing in church. Their sound is characterized as a fusion of contemporary country and traditional bluegrass, and they have been recognized for faith-based lyrics and positive, family-friendly energy.
High Valley signed with Atlantic Records Nashville in 2015. Their catalog includes songs such as “Make You Mine,” “She’s With Me,” “I Be U Be,” “Grew Up On That,” “River’s Still Running,” “Whatever It Takes,” “Never Not,” and the album “Broken Borders.” The band has achieved multiple No. 1 hits on the Billboard Canada Country chart.
The group has received recognition from the Gospel Music Association of Canada, winning five Covenant Awards in 2011, including Artist of the Year and Group of the Year. Their album “Broken Borders” was named Album of the Year at the 2007 GMA Canada Covenant Awards, and the song “Back to You” was honored as Country Song of the Year that same year. High Valley has also achieved three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Canada Country chart.
