About Here Be Lions

Here Be Lions is a Nashville-based Christian ministry collective and worship band founded in 2017 by pastor, worship leader, and songwriter Dustin Smith. The group’s name comes from an ancient mapping tradition in which explorers used the phrase “Here Be Lions” to mark unknown or dangerous territory. The collective is signed to Integrity Music and operates three outreaches: Be Fierce, All About Worship, and Healing Is Right.

Members of the group include Dustin Smith, Jeanna Smith, James Galbraith, Jeremy Weedman, Jordan Clause, and Gardner McGregor. Together they create congregational worship music intended to support the church and encourage faith.

Here Be Lions released the album Only A Holy God in 2018, followed by I Speak Jesus in 2019. In 2020, the group released the single “I Speak Jesus,” featuring Darlene Zschech. The album Still God, Still Good arrived in 2021, along with the singles “Let It Out” and “Peace Over You.” More recent releases include the EP Everything (2025) and the single “In Over My Head” (2025).
