Greg Sykes

Greg Sykes is a worship leader, songwriter, and recording artist who serves both his local congregation and the wider Christian music community. Based in St. Catharines, Ontario, and Franklin, Tennessee, he has worked as a worship pastor at his local church for over fourteen years, a role that grounds his ministry and songwriting in a daily pastoral context. He is signed to Integrity Music, a label known for releasing worship and praise music.

Sykes’s songwriting has reached beyond his own projects, as he has co-written songs with artists including Jaci Velasquez, Meredith Andrews, and Leeland Mooring. He has also toured or performed alongside Michael W. Smith, MercyMe, Paul Baloche, and The City Harmonic. The message of the Christian Gospel shapes both his writing and his ministry.

His recorded work includes the EP Reverse, along with singles such as “No Greater Love (How Marvelous)” and the song “Faithful.” Sykes has also appeared on compilation albums including I Am N, Blessed Assurance: The New Hymns of Fanny Crosby, and Majesty In A Manger.

Sykes’s contributions have been recognized by the GMA Canada Covenant Awards. In 2014, he won Inspirational Song of the Year for “Faithful.” In 2018, he received multiple awards: Inspirational Album of the Year for Reverse, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Video of the Year. These honors reflect his consistent work as both a church musician and a recording artist.
